Akwaaba – Welcome to The Ghana Project at HelpGhanaNow.com!

Ghana is a small country in western Africa.  Its southern boundary is the Atlantic Ocean and the southern part of the country is comparatively well off.  In fact, many wealthy Europeans vacation on the beaches.  But, as in many other parts of the world, once you leave the resort areas on the coast, the poverty becomes extreme.  Much of the north of Ghana is a parched, sub-Saharan wasteland.  The average Ghanaian lives below the international poverty line, which is $1.25 per day.  And, although Ghana is a very small country, over 55,000 children five years old and younger die every year because they don’t have enough water to drink or because the water they have is contaminated with deadly parasites.  These children are DYING, 151 each and every day, because they do not have access to clean water!

Well, not on our watch!  The Ghana Project will provide clean water to the people of northern Ghana.  The Ghana Project aims to eradicate the death and disease caused by dirty water or thirst.  The Ghana Project will provide medical assistance to those in need.  The Ghana Project will work to end the cycle of poverty by building schools and supporting education for the poor children of Ghana.  And, by caring for God’s children when no one else seems to care, The Ghana Project will spread the love of Jesus Christ in this sometimes forgotten corner of the world.

How YOU can Help Ghana Now . . .

First, you can PRAY.  Say a prayer for the people of Ghana who are suffering without clean water, access to medical care, or enough food to eat.  Pray for the sick.  Pray for the children who do not have the opportunity to study, learn, and break out of a cycle of poverty because there are no schools for them to attend.

And you can pray for The Ghana Project.  Pray that we can put the resources we have to make the biggest difference possible in the lives of the most people possible.

Second, you can VOLUNTEER to be a missionary to Ghana.  We are currently in the planning stages for our next mission trip.  Dates have not yet been finalized.  If you are interested in participation or need more information, please contact Michael McIntyre at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Third, you can SPREAD THE WORD about The Ghana Project.  If you believe that our mission is important, tell your friends, your families, your neighbors.  Point them in our direction through HelpGhanaNow.com.  The more people who learn about The Ghana Project, the bigger difference we can make.  Anyone can keep up with what is happening at The Ghana Project by clicking regularly on the "Latest News" link above.  Please check back often to keep up to date.

Fourth, you can DONATE.  Completing projects to make a difference in the lives of people in Ghana is not cheap.  And it certainly isn't free.  Without funding, bore holes cannot be drilled and clean water will not flow.  Without funding schools won't rise and children won't be educated.  Without funds, we can't buy medicine and disease will go untreated.  If you can answer the call to help out by giving to the Ghana Project please follow the link above to the donation page.

Thank you for your interest in The Ghana Project.  The question again is . . . Will you?  HelpGhanaNow.com
