A friend of mine recently shared a story on Facebook about her 5-year-old daughter.  With her permission, I'm sharing that story here.

I love seeing my Cesi's heart grow for the kids in Ghana.  A salesman came to the door today and after I told him we weren't interested, Cesi decided to add, "We are giving all of our money to the Ghana kids!"  She also has been scheming to find a way to have a lemonade stand in December to raise more money for our Christmas Eve Ghana donation.  If you're looking for an amazing cause to donate to this Christmas, look no further!

Well, Cesi's scheming has resulted in, believe it or not, a lemonade stand.  Now, it is a little cold here in St. Louis for a booth outside but . . . where there's a will, there's a way.

Cesi (and her parents) have opened a Virtual Lemonade Stand on Facebook.  Everyone is invited to the "Virtual Lemonade Stand 'Turning Lemonade Into Water'" event.  Go there - by clicking here - and buy some "virtual lemonade" by following a link to and making a donation to The Ghana Project.  Afterward, just post a record of your donation on the Virtual Lemonade Stand's Facebook wall.  In return, a glass of Cesi's virtual lemonade will be posted on your Facebook wall with a note thanking you for helping children in Ghana.  Then, on Christmas Eve, Cesi will turn in the receipts from her Virtual Lemonade Stand as part of her contribution to Living Word Church's Christmas Miracle Offering.

I could certainly use a glass of virtual lemonade today!

How about you?
